The main advantages are low weight, high strength and fast drying ability. This technology revolutionizes Mizuno's material engineering, as it can provide the same cushioning properties, structural integrity and durability as traditional AP+ foam, but with significantly less weight. The U4ic is designed to provide a smooth footfall and efficient dissipation of impact energy, which is key to maintaining running speed and dynamics without undue stress.

Rubber: It is one of the most widely used materials for the production of soles due to its high mechanical resistance and durability. The main advantage of rubber soles is their excellent grip (traction) on different types of surfaces, which minimises the risk of slipping. The material is naturally flexible, waterproof and effectively absorbs shocks during walking. Depending on the compound, the rubber can be either soft for better contact with the ground or hard for maximum abrasion resistance on rough terrain.
