Horsefeathers is a distinctive brand that originated in 1989 in the snowboard culture of British Columbia, Canada. It was born out of a passion for snowboarding and a rebellious spirit against the then conventional team sports mentality. The Horsefeathers brand name was inspired by an inside joke among a snowboarding crew attending BCSS high school, who used a phrase meaning "nonsense" with the appropriate British accent.
The brand officially started in 1993 when Hanuš, one of the original crew members, moved to Pilsen, Czech Republic and met Pavel Kubíček. Together they decided to make Horsefeathers a real brand and started with a small collection of t-shirts and stickers.
Today Horsefeathers has evolved into a European outerwear and technical clothing brand that focuses on high-tech snowboard and ski outerwear. The brand is known for its quality and innovation, endorsed by the world's best riders such as Halldor & Eiki Helgason, Steve Gruber, Tyler Chorlton, Daisuke Watanabe, Dusan Kriz and Daniel Hanka. Horsefeathers continues to embody the energy and spirit of snowboarding, offering products that support the lifestyle and sport that gave birth to it.
